Abstract has announced a gradual shutdown of its network, with the entire operation slated to end on December 15, 2026. Odaily reported that funds not migrated by that date could become inaccessible.

Users can move assets through the official migration center or via the native cross-chain bridge, which is expected to introduce about a three-hour delay in transfers.

Abstract argued that a consumer-focused crypto chain is difficult to sustain as an independent model, citing limited DeFi support, weak on-chain liquidity, and stalled network growth.

The Ethereum Layer 2 network, launched by the Pudgy Penguins team, said it has attracted more than 400,000 users and deployed more than 144 applications.

Abstract also warned users to be vigilant for fake migration websites.
