AEREDIUM Unveils AERSeal to Replace Single-Key Control with Threshold Signatures
PeckShield reported 50 major hacking incidents in August 2026, up 67% from July, with losses falling 49.5% to $136.3 million. Tectonicfi accounted for about $74 million of the losses, and only about $6 million was transferred out after Cronos paused its network.
According to Odaily, digital asset security firm AEREDIUM has launched AERSeal, a system that replaces the traditional single private key used to control privileged smart contract functions with threshold signatures that require multiple authorizations.
AERSeal stores key shares in hardware-certified secure enclaves and supports the Ethereum Virtual Machine and compatible chains.
The product does not reconstruct a full private key; instead, it generates signatures via the CGGMP24 threshold signature protocol.
AEREDIUM founder and CEO Albert Dadon said the solution can transfer minting and upgrade permissions to threshold keys and use on-chain verification to confirm the transfer completion.
Customers can independently verify the assigned threshold keys.
