Avalanche Helicon Upgrade Cuts Primary Network Validation Window to 48 Hours
Avalanche will implement the Helicon upgrade to shorten the minimum Primary Network validation period from 336 hours to 48 hours. The change is slated to take effect on Avalanche Mainnet on Sept. 22 at 15:00 UTC, according to NS3.AI.
Under the new schedule, validators must maintain at least 90 percent uptime to qualify for rewards during the validation window.
The upgrade also introduces a 90-day transition that lowers the minimum consumption rate from 10 percent to 7.5 percent.
