CanSino Biologics said its Shanghai unit has signed a strategic framework agreement with Depsys Biotech to jointly develop an mRNA personalized therapeutic cancer vaccine. The alliance aims to combine mRNA vaccine technology with tumor neoantigen discovery and design to advance research, clinical development, regulatory filings, and commercialization for gastrointestinal solid tumors and rare cancers worldwide, according to Jiemian News.

The collaboration covers early-stage research and development, clinical translation, regulatory submissions, and eventual commercialization.

Separately, Cathay Securities said mRNA cancer vaccine technology has reached a historic breakthrough after the first personalized mRNA cancer vaccine delivered positive results in a phase III melanoma trial. Jiemian News also reported that as of 9:32 a.m. on August 26, 2026, the Penghua Hang Seng Connect Innovative Drug ETF's benchmark index rose 2.79%, with CanSino Biologics up 17.23%, Everest Medicines up 8.90%, and Remegen up 3.80%.
