A federal judge on August 26 lifted a nationwide injunction against new U.S. Postal Service rules governing the mailing of ballots.

The rules require states to redesign ballot envelopes and upload voter lists to the Postal Service, and authorize the Postal Service to decline mailing ballots if the required preparations and data are not met.
