Garlinghouse: Dutch Gold Move Highlights Legacy Rails as Crypto Reaches $2.7 Trillion
Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse framed the Dutch central bank's $11 billion gold move from New York to London as evidence that traditional finance still relies on slow, legacy rails to move value.
BeInCrypto reported that De Nederlandsche Bank shifted about 86 tonnes between March and August, with roughly 70% of the flow conducted on paper after selling about 59 tonnes in New York and repurchasing the same amount in London.
Garlinghouse contrasted that with crypto's rise from a $1.5 billion experiment to a $2.7 trillion asset class.
