The dispute over the late Leonardo Del Vecchio's fortune—valued at more than €40 billion ($46.6 billion)—has intensified after one of his heirs stepped away from management roles at EssilorLuxottica, Bloomberg reported.

Del Vecchio founded the eyewear company at the heart of the dispute.
