The European Investment Bank is providing about €40 million (roughly $46 million) to Steady Energy, a Finnish startup focused on small modular reactors.

The financing marks the bank's return to nuclear project funding after a four-decade pause, aligning with Europe’s push to advance new clean energy technologies.
