Google has announced adjustments to the Maps display following an executive order renaming Lake Ontario to American Lake.

Under the updated labeling, United States users will see American Lake on Maps, Canadian users will continue to see Lake Ontario, and users outside the United States and Canada will see both names, with American Lake shown in parentheses.
