Reports indicate that Honda and Nissan have agreed to collaborate on a new operating system and a unified ECU built on Nissan's technology.

They plan to announce the collaboration on the 31st. For models slated for a 2029 launch, the companies aim to equip those vehicles with an integrated ECU and OS to enable software-defined vehicles (SDVs), with functions continually improved through software updates.
