Hong Kong's cross agency regulators, including the Monetary Authority, the Securities and Futures Commission, the Insurance Authority, the Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Authority and Cyberport, unveiled the first cohort for the GenA.I. Sandbox++ program. The initial participant list includes 36 use cases chosen from roughly 100 proposals submitted by 30 financial institutions and 27 technology partners.

Participants include Bank of China (Hong Kong), China Asset Management, Ant Blockchain, Google and IBM.

The GenA.I. Sandbox++ will focus on agentic AI applications and will test how to responsibly increase AI autonomy beyond content generation. Testing will cover end to end processes such as customer onboarding, payments, insurance claims and customer interactions.
