The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy asserted that U.S. officials have misrepresented the status of the Strait of Hormuz, alleging attempts to influence oil prices and conceal policy shortcomings, a claim reported by Jiemian News.

The IRGC Navy said Tehran fully controls the strategic waterway and ordered that any vessel attempting to pass without Iranian coordination be blocked from transiting.

It said the measures will persist until U.S. military operations against Iran end and Washington fulfills its obligations.
