Tokuyama Corp., a Japanese silicon materials producer, is expanding its footprint with new facilities in Vietnam and Malaysia to supply a critical semiconductor material.

The move, as reported by Nikkei Asia, is part of a strategy to reduce supply-chain disruption risks by spreading production across multiple countries rather than concentrating it in Japan.
