US Treasuries Fall as 30-Year Yield Hits 2002 Peak; Oil Tops $100
U.S. Treasuries continued to soften, with the 30-year yield climbing to its highest level since 2002.
NS3.AI data showed crude oil prices moving above $100 a barrel, fueling worries that inflation could accelerate and encourage further policy tightening by major central banks.
The move in the U.S. debt market also spread to Europe, lifting the UK 30-year gilt yield back to 6%.
