Vercel Says Inbound Sales 90% Automated After Staffing Cut
Vercel's chief operating officer, Jeanne DeWitt Grosser, described a major efficiency gain in inbound sales development, reducing the team from 10 roles to roughly 1.25 and achieving about 90% automation in that function.
According to ChainCatcher, Vercel's in-house support agents now handle about 93% of all support cases.
Grosser added that the annual infrastructure cost remains in the low-thousands of dollars for both setups.
The company says the sales development effort has delivered a 32x return on investment, and it is pursuing AI performance that reaches the 99th percentile 99% of the time.
